Becky & Tony – The Londesborough Wedding

Becky & Tony – The Londesborough Wedding

by Lisa | Nov 7, 2016 | alternative london wedding photography, Alternative Portrait Photography London, creative wedding photography, wedding, wedding photography

The Londesborough is the perfect spot for a wedding. Just a short walk from Stoke Newington Town Hall, it was the perfect location for Becky and Tony’s wedding and leaving party. I headed to their flat first to get a few shots of the girls getting ready. Mum was...

by Lisa | Jun 21, 2016 | alternative london wedding photography, wedding, wedding photography

An East London Warehouse Wedding, Grace & Thorn wedding flowers and coffee & donuts for dessert…I was one happy photographer. So I first met Tessa & Harry at Chris & Claire’s wedding last year. Then, while I was shooting the guests arriving...

Darren & El – Stylish City Wedding

by Lisa | May 18, 2016 | alternative london wedding photography, wedding photography

Darren & El, a laid back and stylish city wedding. Oh my, I love these guys! The first time we met we spent more time talking about art and photography than talking about their wedding.  I love it when that happens because I know the couple feel comfortable with...

Ace Hotel Wedding / Creative London wedding photography

by Lisa | Mar 24, 2016 | alternative london wedding photography, alternative wedding photographer, wedding

A pink haired bride, a bearded groom, a handmade dress with a cape, the Ace Hotel and a pub reception…an awesome London wedding. When I turned up at The Ace Hotel, the room was full of excitement, some great music and Sarah sat in the chair, being pampered. It...

Moments – walk to the reception

by Lisa | Mar 14, 2016 | alternative london wedding photography, alternative wedding photographer, moments, wedding photography

One of the great things about a London wedding is that you can walk from the ceremony to the venue. Becky and Tony did just that and as soon as their family photos were complete, most of their guests made a beeline for the pub.  We hung back to do a few portraits and...

Shoreditch Studios Wedding Your wedding day will Shoreditch Studios Wedding
Your wedding day will pass in a blur.
Not because you rushed it, but because it’s filled with so much. So many faces, embraces, conversations, moments competing for your attention all at once.
So carve out time to simply be together.
Step away from the noise for a few minutes. Hold hands. Ask each other about the parts of the day you didn’t share. The nervous moments that morning. The conversations had while getting ready. The people who stopped to tell you how much they love you. The memories already beginning to form.
Stand back and watch it all unfold.
Look around at the extraordinary group of people who have gathered, from different chapters of your lives, all in one place because of you. Listen to the laughter. The hum of conversation drifting beneath the music. The clink of glasses. The familiar voices you don’t often hear in the same room.
These are the moments that become the memories.
Not just the milestones, but the pauses in between. The chance to take it all in together before the day carries you on to the next beautiful thing.
Because years from now, you’ll remember how it felt. And feeling it starts with allowing yourself a moment to stand still.

Brighton Wedding finding your person isn’t about Brighton Wedding
finding your person isn’t about finding someone who completes you. It’s finding someone who gives you the space to be fully, unapologetically you.
The one who sees your quirks and loves them.
Who reminds you of your strength when you’ve forgotten it.
Who builds you up, cheers you on, and encourages you to shine a little brighter.
The one you can laugh with until your stomach hurts.
Cry with when life feels heavy.
Get lost with, dream with, and chase adventures with.
The one who holds your hand through the ordinary moments and makes them feel extraordinary.
Because the best kind of love isn’t about changing who you are.
It’s about being loved for exactly who you are.

100 Barrington Wedding A doorway, a father, a da 100 Barrington Wedding
A doorway, a father, a daughter.
The kind of photograph that says everything without needing a single word.
The familiar bricks. A garden path. A home that held so many ordinary days. And then, suddenly, a day that will be remembered forever.
I love these moments that exist just outside the timeline of a wedding. Not quite the beginning, but no longer what came before. A hand to hold. A reassuring presence. A quiet walk towards something new.
The beauty is in the simplicity of it all.
Just a father and his daughter, taking a few final steps together.

100 Barrington Wedding There’s something so spec 100 Barrington Wedding
There’s something so special about hitting “send” on a final gallery.
After weeks of carefully curating, reliving every moment and weaving together the full story of a day, I get to hand it all back to my couples. The big moments are there, of course, the excitement, the happy tears, the celebration. But it’s often the quieter images that stop me in my tracks.
The glance in the mirror before everything begins. The deep breath. The anticipation. The feeling.
As I pull together a gallery, I’m always looking for those photographs that transport you right back. The images that make your heart race a little faster, bring a smile you didn’t expect, or remind you of exactly how it felt to be there.
Because years from now, these aren’t just photographs. They’re reminders of the joy, the excitement, the people you love and the moments that passed far too quickly.
And getting to tell that story from beginning to end never gets old.
