Becky & Tony – The Londesborough Wedding

Becky & Tony – The Londesborough Wedding

by Lisa | Nov 7, 2016 | alternative london wedding photography, Alternative Portrait Photography London, creative wedding photography, wedding, wedding photography

The Londesborough is the perfect spot for a wedding. Just a short walk from Stoke Newington Town Hall, it was the perfect location for Becky and Tony’s wedding and leaving party. I headed to their flat first to get a few shots of the girls getting ready. Mum was...

by Lisa | Jun 21, 2016 | alternative london wedding photography, wedding, wedding photography

An East London Warehouse Wedding, Grace & Thorn wedding flowers and coffee & donuts for dessert…I was one happy photographer. So I first met Tessa & Harry at Chris & Claire’s wedding last year. Then, while I was shooting the guests arriving...

Darren & El – Stylish City Wedding

by Lisa | May 18, 2016 | alternative london wedding photography, wedding photography

Darren & El, a laid back and stylish city wedding. Oh my, I love these guys! The first time we met we spent more time talking about art and photography than talking about their wedding.  I love it when that happens because I know the couple feel comfortable with...

Moments – tears during the vows

by Lisa | Mar 30, 2016 | alternative london wedding photography, alternative wedding photographer, moments

Ace Hotel Wedding / Creative London wedding photography

by Lisa | Mar 24, 2016 | alternative london wedding photography, alternative wedding photographer, wedding

A pink haired bride, a bearded groom, a handmade dress with a cape, the Ace Hotel and a pub reception…an awesome London wedding. When I turned up at The Ace Hotel, the room was full of excitement, some great music and Sarah sat in the chair, being pampered. It...

Moments – walk to the reception

by Lisa | Mar 14, 2016 | alternative london wedding photography, alternative wedding photographer, moments, wedding photography

One of the great things about a London wedding is that you can walk from the ceremony to the venue. Becky and Tony did just that and as soon as their family photos were complete, most of their guests made a beeline for the pub.  We hung back to do a few portraits and...

Sekforde Pub Wedding There is something about fi Sekforde Pub Wedding
There is something about film that quietly changes everything.
It asks you to slow down. To breathe. To observe before you create.
With only a limited number of frames, every photograph becomes intentional. Every click of the shutter carries a little more meaning. There’s no rushing, no overshooting, no checking the back of the camera. Just trust—in the light, in the moment, and in yourself.
In a world that moves so fast, film gives me permission to move differently. It reminds me that not everything has to be instant to be beautiful. In fact, some of the most meaningful things take time.
I love the nostalgia that lives within every roll. The soft grain, the gentle colours, the imperfections that make each frame uniquely its own. I love that it’s tangible—that these moments don’t just exist on a screen, but as negatives and prints that can be held, passed down, and treasured for generations.
Film gives me the freedom to create without chasing perfection. It allows me to be fully present with the people I’m photographing instead of getting caught up in the technical side of creating. It invites connection over perfection, feeling over flawless.
When I look back through old family albums, it’s almost always the film photographs that stop me in my tracks. They carry a depth and honesty that’s difficult to explain but impossible to ignore.
Maybe that’s the real magic of film. It doesn’t just preserve what something looked like—it preserves what it felt like.
And perhaps that’s why I’ll never stop reaching for it.

100 Barrington Wedding There is something so bea 100 Barrington Wedding
There is something so beautifully grounding about speeches.
The laughter that ripples through a room at stories only family could tell. The little moments parents have quietly held onto for years, shared for the very first time. The kind words that remind you just how deeply two people are loved.
For a few minutes, time slows. Glasses are raised, tears are wiped away, and everyone is reminded that a wedding isn’t just about two people finding each other, it’s about every person who helped them become who they are.
These are the moments that linger long after the music fades. The stories. The gratitude. The unmistakable feeling of being surrounded by love.

Orleans House Wedding There’s something incredib Orleans House Wedding
There’s something incredibly grounding about standing in front of the people you love and making promises that sound like *you*.
Not perfect. Not borrowed from the internet. Just honest words that tell your story.
Your ceremony is so much more than the moment between the portraits and the party. It’s the heartbeat of your wedding day. The reason everyone has gathered. The moment you’ll come back to years from now.
Whether you choose to share personal vows during your ceremony or keep them for a quiet first look, taking the time to write your own words adds a depth that nothing else quite can. They become part of the memories, the photographs, and the feeling of the day.
The most meaningful ceremonies aren’t about following tradition for tradition’s sake—they’re about creating a moment that reflects who you are as a couple. The laughter, the tears, the little glances that say, *this is us.*
Because long after the flowers have faded and the cake has been eaten, it’s those promises that remain.

The Hackney Wedding Saturday’s wedding was somet The Hackney Wedding
Saturday’s wedding was something really special.
Some days have a feeling about them from the very beginning, and this was one of those days.
The love between this gorgeous couple was abundantly clear in every single moment. It wasn’t just something you could see, it was something you could feel. The way they looked at each other, it was effortless, wholehearted, and deeply felt by everyone lucky enough to witness it. The laughter they shared, and the way everyone around them celebrated their love made documenting this day an absolute joy.
The streets of Hackney filled with confetti and it felt like time stood still for just a moment. Beautiful, joyful, wonderfully chaotic and completely unforgettable.
These are the stories I feel so grateful to tell, one frame at a time.
