Intimate Hackney Restaurant Wedding An intimate Intimate Hackney Restaurant Wedding

An intimate Hackney wedding, spent exactly how J&F love to spend their time.

Long lunches that turn into dinners, champagne in the late summer sun, plates passed around the table and all their favourite people gathered in one place.

At their favourite restaurant, the afternoon unfolded slowly. Champagne flowed, laughter carried down the street and conversations lingered long into dinner. Plates were shared, stories swapped and the kind of heartfelt chats you wish could go on forever.

No fuss, no big production. Just really good food, really good people, and a whole lot of love.

A day that felt so unmistakably THEM, a true reflection of how they spend their time and the people they love most.

And a little reminder that your wedding can be whatever you want it to be. It doesn’t have to follow traditions or fit a certain mould. It can be shaped around the things that make you happy, the people you love and the way you want to spend your day.

Sometimes, the simplest celebrations are the most meaningful ones.

Abney Chapel & The Londesborough Wedding What doe Abney Chapel & The Londesborough Wedding

What does your wedding day actually feel like to you?

Not what a wedding should look like. Not what you’ve seen a hundred times before. Yours. What does your wedding look and feel like?

Maybe it’s a long, laughter-filled dinner with everyone you love gathered around one table. Maybe it’s champagne, dancing until your feet hurt, and a dance floor that never empties. Maybe it’s quiet moments, incredible food, your favourite people, and the freedom to simply be together.

Because when you strip everything else away, your wedding is a celebration of you two.

So, as your photographer, I would love to know, how do you want to celebrate? What do you want to remember when you look back on these photographs years from now?

Give me the real stuff. The big feelings. The little details. The wonderfully imperfect moments.

That’s the story I want to photograph.

Coin Laundry Wedding, Exmouth Market Sneaking off Coin Laundry Wedding, Exmouth Market

Sneaking off for a few photographs at your local might just be one of my favourite things.

Not the grand ballroom. Not somewhere you’ve never been before. Just your place, the spot where you’ve had countless date nights, celebrated the good stuff, toasted to new chapters, and slipped in for a quiet drink after work.

Because when you choose somewhere that already holds a little piece of your story, the photographs mean so much more.

I love the idea of portraits in the places that feel like you. The familiar corners. The favourite table. The bar where you’ve sat together a hundred times. A quick moment away from the wedding, just the two of you, somewhere that already feels like home.

Years from now, you won’t just remember how beautiful the photograph looked. You’ll remember where you were, what you were celebrating, and all the little stories that happened there.

So yes, let’s sneak away from the wedding for ten minutes and go to your local.
Those might just become some of your favourite photographs.

Marylebone Town Hall Wedding The iconic steps of Marylebone Town Hall Wedding

The iconic steps of Marylebone Town Hall, where you walk out hand in hand and straight into an explosion of confetti.

And this is the magic of a London wedding… because the celebration doesn’t stop with the people you’ve invited. It spills out onto the street and suddenly, the whole of London seems to be celebrating with you.

Passers-by stop to cheer. Strangers smile, wave and shout congratulations. Buses and black cabs honk their horns as you make your way down the steps, adding their own little soundtrack to the moment.

For those few glorious minutes, the city feels like it belongs to you.

You’re swept up in confetti, laughter, noise and so much love, surrounded by your favourite people while complete strangers join in the joy of two people just getting married.

And honestly? London weddings are the best.

There’s something so wonderfully unfiltered about stepping out of Marylebone Town Hall and straight into the heart of the city. No grand ballroom, no quiet retreat, just you, your people, a ridiculous amount of confetti and London carrying on around you while celebrating right alongside you.

The perfect kind of chaos. The best kind of beginning.
