So back when I started my business, it world of wedding photography was a very daunting place. There wasn’t really any resources where I could ask questions, get info and find my feet with my business. I was lucky to have some friends who were photographers who helped me get started and gave me subtle pushes int eh right direction. After taking a few bookings, doing a lot of second shooting and immersing myself in the world of wedding photography, I discovered The Photography Farm. I booked my place, got scared an nervous that I wasn’t good enough and then rocked up at The Farm. Lisa Devlin greeted me with open arms, my brain was bursting with info, I received honest and constructive criticism and I cam away with a set of images I was immensely proud of and a to-do list that really set me on the path I am on now.
When I went to The Farm, I never thought I would end up back there, 3 years later teaching….but guess what I AM and I am beyond excited.
I am lucky enough to be teaching a Beginners Boot Camp at Farm Week in February. I know how daunting it is to start a business, so I am really excited to share my journey, my knowledge and advice on how to make your business kick ass. We will be looking at business basics, customer experience, work flow, editing, staying positive, getting inspired, finding you voice amoungst other things.
If you are thinking of making the leap to full time photographer, feeling a little lost with your business, or need some advice on how to get started, then this is for you.
This is some of the stuff we will talk about and this is an open session, so nothing is off limits.
