Hannah & Chris wanted to throw a wedding that reflected them and their lives in London so only a Shoreditch Studios wedding would do. Deep in the heart of Shoreditch, they found the perfect space that gave them everything they wanted. These two wanted to throw the ultimate party and that is exactly what they did.

Shoreditch Studios is such a great space as you can get married in one arch, then move outside for drinks before heading back in for food and then dancing. It’s perfectly informal which is what Hannah & Chris wanted and really set the tone for their day. One of things that really helps with that is music and it is one of the things I love hearing about from my couples. A couples musical choices and readings for a ceremony add so much personality to the day and really set the tone for their relationship and the rest of the day.

These two chose the following

Walk down the aisle – Sebastian Tellier’s ‘La Ritournelle’
Readings – Bob Marley & John Cooper Clarke
Exit music – Candi Staton’s ‘You Got the Love’.

‘You Got the Love’…what an incredible song to kick start a party!
The sun was shining so after running the gauntlet of the confetti throw (one of my favourite parts of the day) everyone mingled in the court yard drinking beer. After giving them some time to just enjoy the day and chat to guests we headed out for some portraits, some all important shots and an impromtu photobooth.

Stories were told during speeches that brought about a lot of laughs but also a few embarrassed faces and while the room was turned around to get ready for the dancing, we all headed back outside for a little surprise.
Hannah & Chris booked an amazing mariachi band to surprise guest and get everyone dancing. Everyone was shocked at the band came round the corner playing and it was amazing to watch and people lost their inhibitions and the dancing began. Sun shining, beers in hand, friends and family grabbed each other danced the evening away in the sunshine.

When asked about their favourite part of the day, Hannah recalled the mariachi band.
‘Once the wedding breakfast had finished and before the first dance, we had an hour or so out in the courtyard to wind down before the evening. The sun was setting and produced a really beautiful light, and then out of nowhere the mariachi band walked in playing and everyone was so surprised and happy. All of the formalities were over and we could just relax, dance and have fun with the biggest smiles on our faces.’

I still remember this vividly, the look of surprise on everyones face and how everyone just let loose and started dancing in the courtyard.

If you want to throw an insane party…Shoreditch Studios is the place for you.
