Wow! My best of 2015 wedding photography photo selection is finally here.  It has taken me a good few days to pull this selection together. I’ve spent the past few days going through all the weddings I photographed last year, reliving moments, remembering my awesome couples and yet again I have to sit here and pinch myself, because I have an awesome job. I get to do what I love and meet some truly amazing people and I never thought I would get the opportunity to do this.

2015 was one hell of a year and I have no idea where to start. Among other things, here are some of my wedding highlights

I shot over 30 weddings, photographed a ceremony in a field, I photographed three weddings of couples I met at other weddings, I travelled to Spain to shoot a beautiful wedding.

I ruined a dress and got covered in scratches trying to get some beautiful portraits in a field full of wind turbines, I taught my first full day workshop and I won The Photography Farm Image of the Year.

I did a first look at The Barbican….my favourite place in London, I participated in the amazing blog See the Ordinary, getting share my view of the world and I watched and photographed as guests, got silly with helium balloons.

I was listed as a Raising Star in Wedding Photography by Rangefinder Magazine 

I watched dads dance with their daughters, and when I day dance I mean let loose on the dance floor and I got front row seats to the wedding of one of my oldest friends and still managed to photograph the ceremony with tears rolling down my face.

Even with that list, looking through the galleries of all my weddings I remember the ceremonies, those first looks, the nervous glance of a groom looking over his shoulder for his bride, the moment a bide reaches for her grooms hand, the happy tears of a mother as she watches her daughter get married, the cuddle from a dad before he give his daughter away, the embrace of old friends, the embarrassing speech of a best man, the songs that brought everyone to the dance floor (it’s always Let’s Dance by David Bowie). These are just a few of the moments I remember and was lucky enough to capture. I could write a long list of these but I think you probably want to see photographs rather my words.

So here goes, this is the first instalment of my best of 2015 wedding photography!
